Time for celebration with a super-exclusive special edition

In 1984 Porsche decided to create an Iberian subsidiary and write a new chapter in its relationship with two countries undergoing profound transformation and teeming with opportunities.

Porsche España S.A. was the predecessor of what is now Porsche Ibérica, one of the brand’s most respected subsidiaries worldwide and one of the most proactive in the fundamental task of perpetuating with customers the passion for a symbol and legend unrivalled in the car world.

With more than 1,000 units sold in 2023 and almost 650 in the first half of this year, the Iberian market is impressively dynamic for its relatively small size.

Capitalising on the launch of the second-generation 992, the Porsche Ibérica teams decided to create a super-exclusive special edition of the new 911 GTS that would reflect the very specific values of the Iberian market.

The result is the fabulous 911 GTS Cuarenta Edition. The marriage of ideas between the Sonderwunsch studio in Zuffenhausen, the Style Porsche department and Porsche Ibérica resulted in a spectacular car, limited to 40 units, which will be a milestone in the history of Porsche in Portugal and Spain.

For the 911 Cuarenta Edition, a bespoke Paint to Sample Plus exterior colour was created, called Quercusverde, which refers to the shade of the leaves of holm oak trees, typical of the Iberian landscape.

The oak colour is also featured on the hand-painted logo on the rear grille. Other special elements include the 911 40 logo on the B-pillar in Cream White, the Porsche and 911 logos on the rear in Silver, aluminium window surrounds, extended mudguards with protective film in Satin Black and the Red rear lights and light strip.

The RS Spyder Design wheels are painted Satin Black, with a Gloss Silver rim and centres with the monochrome Porsche Shield, a tribute to the colour scheme used on the 911 wheels in the 1980s.

The interior was designed in a two-tone combination of Truffle Brown and Cohiba Brown leather.

The handcrafted cross-stitching is a detail that emphasises the car’s luxury interior concept. The tartan fabric used in the seat centres adds to the aforementioned colours with the Quercusverde tone of the exterior and Crayon as a complement.

The 541 horsepower of the 911 GTS Cuarenta Edition has a Lusitanian soul, propelling this magnificent instant classic to 100km/h in just 3 seconds, with a top speed of 312km/h.

If there is such a thing as the perfect birthday present, this is certainly one of them. Happy birthday, Porsche Ibérica!
