Members will experience the highest standards of play thanks to the new partnership between Els Club Vilamoura and The Toro Company
The new Els Club Vilamoura, designed by four-time Majors winner Ernie Els and scheduled to open this summer, has announced its latest exclusive partnership with The Toro Company – a global leader in innovative outdoor solutions – and its Portuguese distributor, Irrimac. Together, they will provide advanced turf maintenance equipment and irrigation systems to ensure the course meets world-class standards.
Designed by Ernie Els, the private club is set to “redefine the golfing experience in the Algarve, setting a new benchmark for luxury and hospitality”.
This exclusive supplier of turf maintenance equipment and irrigation systems will play a central role in elevating course conditions. A strong focus on sustainability is central to the partnership: solar panels, sponsored by Toro and Irrimac, will be installed to provide clean energy for recharging electric maintenance equipment.
This landmark collaboration will feature advanced electric machinery, expert staff training, and environmentally responsible practices, supporting the launch of the Algarve’s first private members’ golf club and one of Portugal’s most anticipated golf venues.
Toro will deliver a “comprehensive support package”, including regular equipment inspections to ensure peak performance. Among the equipment to be supplied are the GREENSMASTER® eTriFlex® 3370, REELMASTER® Fairway Mowers, and WORKMAN® MDX Lithium-Ion Utility Vehicles.
Electric handheld tools such as mowers and rapid chargers will also be provided, reinforcing the focus on environmental sustainability. Combined, these efforts will ensure a reduction in the overall carbon footprint of on-course maintenance.
In addition to machinery, greenkeeping staff will also benefit from certified on-site technical training to ensure the highest standards of course maintenance, and technological connectivity will enable hardware and software tracking for the entire fleet of equipment, maximising operational efficiency.
