The photography gallery’s showroom once again offers a unique opportunity to experience works by a renowned photographer firsthand in the Algarve
The In The Pink Art Advisory space, at Quinta Shopping in Quinta do Lago, unveiled a new exhibition yesterday (April 3), celebrating the extraordinary career of Steve Schapiro.
In The Pink Gallery has gained renown for showcasing global artists from the photography industry, and this exhibition is no exception.
Steve Schapiro is recognised as one of the most important photojournalists of all time, having distinctively captured defining moments of the 20th century.

Schapiro has documented the March on Washington and the Selma to Montgomery marches, images that authorities once tried to suppress. He also captured intimate portraits of cultural icons like Andy Warhol, Jackie Kennedy, and Muhammad Ali, offering a powerful, layered, and nuanced glimpse into the last century.

Through his photojournalistic work, Schapiro also became highly influential in Hollywood, taking portraits during film shoots for “The Godfather” and “Taxi Driver”. He befriended and gained access to some of the most legendary musicians, including Velvet Underground and David Bowie.
