With a diversity of exhibitions and quality products, last Saturday’s Vale do Lobo Christmas Market was a magical event
This year’s Vale do Lobo Christmas Market, held last Saturday, was described as “one of the best ever” – organisers say the feedback they received “exceeded all expectations”.
Organisers put it down to the “combination of an excellent diversity of exhibitors and quality products, the spacious venue, the welcoming and safe environment, the organisation and general warm feeling”, which together created “a magical event”.
Christmas Market with a good cause
The festive and charitable spirit also allowed the Wolf Valley Charity Association to raise around €1,500, which will go towards supporting worthy local social causes in our community.
Said organisers: “It was a pleasure to welcome so many exhibitors and local businesses to the event and we appreciate the effort made by standholders who took the time to create dynamic, interesting and engaging stalls.”
Melanie Kendall, Commercial Director of Open Media Group (publishers of the Algarve Resident), official media partner of the event, said: “After so many Christmas events were cancelled last year, it was refreshing and actually quite exciting to be able to attend the Vale do Lobo Christmas Market last Saturday. All the necessary safety measures were in place and credit to the organisers – everything ran smoothly and efficiently.
“Whilst the number of visitors seemed less than previous years, the stalls were plentiful and varied, offering delicious homemade goodies, Christmas paraphernalia, cheeses, chocolates and, of course, lovely wines!
“Christmas cheer was instilled with a local choir belting out popular carols that had everyone toe-tapping, and more singers and dancers kept us entertained throughout the afternoon.Let’s hope we can continue to showcase the Algarve and all it has to offer through many more live events in 2022, bringing much needed normality back into our lives.”
Anyone interested in booking a place at the next Christmas market, the date has been set as usual for the first Saturday of December: December 3, 2022.
