Abarth and Riva have joined forces to create the 695 Rivale, an unrivalled convertible
The new Abarth 695 Rivale celebrates the alliance between two of the most iconic Italian brands, bringing together two worlds that, while totally different, complement each other with products with great emotional appeal. The 175 years of yacht company Riva were reflected in an Abarth that’s completely different from all the others.
Limited to 175 coupé editions and 175 cabriolet editions, the 695 Rivale stands out for its exclusive colours: Riva Sera Blue and Shark Grey, separated by an Aquamarine double line. The interior’s blue leather is exclusive to this model, as are the carbon fibre or mahogany finishes, which reflect the connection with the typical engineering of Riva’s boats. Other standout features include the 17-inch Supersport rims and the UConnect infotainment system with a seven-inch screen.
Under the hood, the well-known 1.4 Turbo churns out 180 horsepower, helped along by an Akrapovic exhaust system that makes this pocket rocket sound even better. A maximum speed of 225km/h and the ability to reach 100km/h in 6.7 seconds are nothing to scoff at from an urban convertible. The stories of Carlo Abarth and Carlo Riva are very similar: two men who made their dreams come true, creating a legion of followers who insist on upgrading, thus perpetuating two brands who perfectly represent the Italian passion for good design and the harmonious beauty of the items.
