Amigos de Música has just started their new concert season 2023/24

This September 26 and 28, the Amigos de Música association will present Ukrainian pianist Artem Yasynskyy at Os Agostos Auditorium, an impressive 18th-century country estate located near Santa Bárbara de Nexe.

Artem was introduced by well-known pianist and ‘Amigo’ Piers Lane as one of the winners in his Australian Piano Competition, in Sydney.

On Tuesday, Artem’s programme will feature works by Bach, Brahms, Britten and Prokofiev, and on Thursday, Bach, Beethoven, Chopin and French composer Jehan Alain.

Originally from Donetsk, Artem moved to Germany in 2010 to study. He has won many international competitions, recorded several albums and played globally in various continents. He now teaches in Bremen, Germany, and is also professor at the Trieste Conservatory in Italy.

Amigos de Música is an international group of around 120 members who stage musical activities by internationally renowned musicians and also sponsor young Portuguese musicians. It is a non-profit organisation which celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2021.

Amigos de Música concerts at Os Agostos Auditorium begin at 7pm. Gates will open at 6pm and wine, fruit juices and canapés will be served during a short interval.
