Visitors can expect refined violin, cello and piano performances, featuring works by Bach, Kreisler, Ravel, Schumann, Rachmaninov and more
On May 9th, Os Agostos will present an evening of solo violin music by the talented Alaskan violinist Zachary Spontak.
The programme includes several pieces by Fritz Kreisler, the renowned Partita in D minor by Johann Sebastian Bach, an early violin sonata by Paul Hindemith, and works by Francisco Tárrega, Monti, and Carlos Gardel.
On May 11th, the Caminus Duo, featuring Mikhail Shumov on cello and Joana Vieira Shumova on piano, will play a colourful programme, including works by Maurice Ravel, Gabriel Fauré, Frank Bridge, Robert Schumann, Sergei Rachmaninov, and the famous cello sonata by Dmitri Shostakovich.
All concerts, organised by Amigos de Música Association, will be held at the Auditorium of Os Agostos near Santa Bárbara de Nexe.
Doors will open at 6pm and the concerts start at 7pm. Visitors will have wine, fruit juices, and canapés available for self-service.
The entry donation for the concerts is €30 per person, which includes refreshments.

Later, on June 27thand 29th, Lucy Parham (piano) and Harriet Walter (actor) from London will perform “I, Clara” about Robert Schumann’s pianist wife Clara Schumann-Wieck.
