DJ Zakes Bantwini brought fun and lively music to the W Algarve resort
With the warm weather, sun-kissed skins and long days just around the corner, the W Algarve invited Zakes Bantwini to kick off the resort’s summer program.
The South African musician, record producer and entrepreneur brought a lot of fun and excitement to Albufeira in a memorable sunset party.
Boasting privileged sea views, in a private and exclusive location, the music put a smile on everyone’s face and got their bodies moving. This was the first of eight parties that will follow in July and August and promise to bring a host of great artists to the Algarve.
For fans of EDM and incredible outdoor spaces, this event is a dream, and if you have never been to a party like this, you certainly won’t regret taking a chance.
“The event takes place at the end of the day so that guests can enjoy a long sunset and mingle,” revealed Henrique Pires, Marketing and Communications Director at the W Algarve.
Choosing a Grammy Award-winning artist for the Opening Party on June 8 was no coincidence; in fact, it was the perfect decision for an effervescent and contagious atmosphere. National and international figures attended this iconic summer event, which was attended by around 600 people, including digital influencers, fashion designers and models.
“As a brand, we are very lifestyle-oriented and extremely inclusive,” said Henrique Pires, stressing: “We sold over 100 tickets more than the first event last year. It was a very positive experience and it went very well.”
Aside from international DJs, AURA ONE features resident DJs WESTVIL, from Albufeira, and PIPPA, from Lisbon, who will also be performing at the next party on July 6.
Held in partnership with Waterclub Algarve, the next Sunset Party will be headlined by Yaya Tamango, an well-known Italian artist with African roots who has unique DJ sets and his own label, Tamango Records. He will be joined by the Portuguese duo White Noise, which includes DJs Pedro Gonzaga and Luís Rocha.
“Our goal is to present a broad range of electronic music, covering different sounds and genres,” Henrique Pires commented.
This style of music will be explored throughout the summer, with artists such as Culoe de Song and Emmanuel Satie, who will wrap up the Closing Party on August 24.
