Get into the Christmas spirit with unique homemade sweets in a cosy and refined atmosphere
December is a month of love, affection, and family. It’s the time of year when homes and streets are filled with Christmas decorations, lights, and glitter to prepare for what is, for many, the most eagerly awaited night of the year.
It’s also a season to celebrate in the company of relatives, friends, and colleagues at events where there’s no shortage of typical Christmas flavours.
To enjoy this atmosphere of comfort, the Glee Boutique Café at the Tivoli Marina Vilamoura Hotel invites you to taste and share a special collection of pastries and chocolates full of creativity and made in-house.
Every sweet has different shapes, textures, and colours that bring unique ideas to life and satisfy different tastes and preferences. Tradition meets innovation and the typical story of Santa Claus and his reindeer is now told in unique fashion, captivating children and adults alike.
The story begins with Rudolph, Santa’s best-known reindeer, whom everyone knows by his bright red nose.
This character appears in a delicate combination of milk chocolate mousse, biscuit, and hazelnut pailleté feuilletine, which melts in your mouth and comes with a gift in the form of a chocolate éclair filled with dark chocolate mousse and redcurrant jam.
There is everything from guardian angels in white chocolate to a dark-chocolate Santa Claus in, as well as accessories and props typical of the season. You can also treat yourself to a ruby chocolate Santa hat or dark chocolate Christmas baubles.
You’ll also have a hard time choosing between the six different Christmas tree options. Try a delicate beetroot and pistachio cookie with orange cream and chai mousse or, if you prefer something different but equally tasty, you can choose one of the two gingerbread Christmas trees – in gold chocolate or the exotic version with white chocolate and a touch of lime.
There are other tasty seasonal treats such as the soft pinecone that combines the crunchy texture of almonds and coconut with a cookie, topped with coconut ganache and mousse, and the traditional Galette des Rois or the Gallete Glee made with pecans and dark chocolate.
To top it all off, there’s the Christmas House, inspired by the tale of Hänsel und Gretel, made of carrot biscuit, orange jam, and cheese and carrot mousse with confit spices.
This delightful collection was created by chef Patrick Mestre and his team. “I have a very creative team,” said the chef, who has been working at the Tivoli Marina Vilamoura Hotel since 1997.
In his words, the secret to success is high quality ingredients. However, that’s not all. “Enjoying what you’re doing is equally important, as is knowing the technique, which is improved with experience,” highlighted chef Patrick.
It’s a moment that delights and surprises children and adults of all ages, and to make it last, Glee also has an exclusive Advent Calendar to be enjoyed every day until Christmas Day – the perfect countdown for sweets lovers.
Prices range from €8 to €45 and can also be purchased at the Glee the online shop until January 6.
