Hilton Vilamoura is hosting a series of eight concerts featuring Algarvian musicians who are performing for audiences of guests who are watching from the balconies of hotel rooms.
Entitled ‘Balcony Overlooking the Stage’, the initiative aims to not only provide weeks-worth of entertainment but also support local musicians who have been hit hard by the pandemic.
Said João Rosado, Marketing and Sales Director at Hilton Vilamoura: “During the months of May and June, we will be inviting artists from the Algarve to perform at the Blue Lagoon with original themes of different musical styles, in order to provide hotel guests and residents with a unique show from their room balconies, in a vertical concert, replicating theatre box seats. Every guest is most welcome to enjoy this unique evening performance from their balcony.”
There will be three tickets to choose from: Blue Balcony, costing €20 per person for the show and one drink; Silver Balcony, costing €60pp for the show and dinner; and Gold Balcony; costing €140 for a single room or €200 for a double room for a one-night stay at the hotel, dinner, breakfast and access to the resort’s pools and gym.
Tickets must be booked via email ([email protected]).
Part of the proceeds will go to social solidarity projects to support event organisers and food aid programmes through Refood
Two of the concerts have already been held, with the remaining shows set to take place until June 6.
Here is the remaining schedule: Amar Guitarra Trio (May 29); Bertilio & Gravata (May 30); Teresa Aleixo (June 4); Isa Brito (June 5); Couple Coffee (June 6).
