Creating trendy and eclectic environments characterised by bursts of colour, Portuguese brand Fusion Interior Design develops architectural and interior design projects for homes, businesses, and hotels
The Portuguese brand Fusion Interior Design, based in LACS Cascais, Lisbon, has just opened its first pop-up shop, in the eastern Algarve city of Tavira.
The brand aims to offer “personalised architecture and interior design projects in a region that has seen significant growth in the property market in recent years, attracting foreign and even national investors, whether for holiday homes or permanent residences”.
At the 42sqm pop-up, customers will find an architecture and interior design shop with furniture, lamps, decorative ceramics, cushions, carpets, fabrics and wallpapers, from a mix of international brands, such as Elitis, Pierre Frey, James Malone, as well as some national brands, including Barbara Osório fabrics, and pieces with the Fusion Interior Design trademark.
Fusion Interior Design has “always been committed to Portuguese design and artists”, with the new store featuring a partnership with the Icon Shop, “which provided the opportunity to showcase designer pieces such as ceramics by the SAL atelier or the ceramist Susy Byla, decorative pieces in wood by the artist Rival, paintings by the artist Bárbara Assis Pacheco, as well as partnerships with textile artists such as Diana Cunha with her macramé pieces, and Susana Godinho from Sugo with her rugs made from waste wool, cotton and cork, and the sculptor Joana Durão”.
Founded in 2007 by designers Maria Ana Noronha and Teresa Matos Correia, the Cascais-based brand has developed projects for private homes, public and business spaces, as well as hotels such as Hotel Dream Guincho in Cascais, and Vincci Bomjardim in Porto, focusing on the “fusion of styles and the refusal to follow standardised trends”.
The projects combine the “classic with the contemporary, resulting in trendy and eclectic environments, marked by the presence of colour”.
The strengthened positioning in Tavira is Fusion’s first expansion beyond Cascais and is led by Teresa Lopes Ferreira, who joined Fusion in 2015, reflecting “the good results achieved in recent years and serves as a way to present the brand’s concept”, according to the co-founder of Fusion Interior Design, Maria Ana Noronha.
“We focus on Portuguese artists, craftsmen, and suppliers, contributing to the promotion of what is national. We design much of our furniture and invest in a more personalised design with projects that highlight the uniqueness of people and spaces,” Maria Ana Noronha explained.
The pop-up shop will be open until the end of October.
Fusion Interior Design Tavira is open from Tuesday to Saturday, between 10am and 1pm and 6pm to 11pm and is located at the Rua José Pires Padinha 180, in Tavira.
