From yoga and meditation to personalised health programmes and internationally recognised spa treatments, discover what’s new in the region
Longevity takes national title
Longevity Health & Wellness Hotel in Alvor has been named Portugal’s Best Wellness Retreat 2026, adding a new distinction to its specialised approach to health and well-being.
The adults-only property combines a luxury hotel stay with personalised programmes spanning preventive and regenerative health, nutrition, fitness, relaxation, and aesthetic treatments.
Medical and wellness specialists work alongside one another, supported by diagnostic services, treatment and rehabilitation areas, and spa and thermal facilities. The award highlights a concept that places health programmes and specialist care at the centre of the guest experience, rather than treating wellness simply as an addition to a hotel stay.
The Wellness Temple
From October 30 to November 2, Vilalara Grand Hotel Algarve hosts the Wellness Temple, a four-day retreat led by model, yoga teacher, and wellness entrepreneur Verónica Blume.

Designed around physical, mental, and emotional well-being, the programme combines yoga, meditation, breathwork, sound baths, mindful walking, journaling, and a tea ceremony, with each day exploring a different theme. Nutrition also plays a central role, with specially curated culinary experiences across the resort’s restaurants.
Set against Vilalara’s clifftop surroundings in Porches, the retreat is designed as an opportunity to slow down and restore balance through movement, mindfulness, and time in nature.
World-class wellness
Vila Vita Spa by Sisley at Vila Vita Parc has been named World’s Best Spa Service Excellence at the 2026 World Spa Awards, alongside its seventh title as Portugal’s Best Resort Spa.

The Porches spa combines Sisley signature treatments, therapeutic massages, body and facial rituals, rejuvenation programmes, meditation, sound healing, mindfulness, and yoga with a changing programme of visiting specialists.
From October to mid-November, holistic health specialist Kimberly Rose will be in residence, offering personalised sessions spanning acupuncture, CranioSacral Therapy, Qi Gong, meditation, and Yin Breathwork.
The spa features 14 treatment rooms alongside hydrotherapy and relaxation areas and a dedicated yoga studio.
