Algarve institution Vale do Lobo has impressed holidaymakers and property owners with a string of new openings and facilities already this year – and there’s plenty more to come.
This summer, the legendary resort invited diners to enjoy traditional Portuguese flavours paired with local wines at its new restaurant, Tinto. Another restaurant to open, Doce, also managed in-house by the Vale do Lobo team, showcased fresh treats ranging from super-sweet pastries to healthy juices.
Now, new restaurant SMASH has opened its doors at Vale do Lobo. Located at the resort’s Tennis Academy, SMASH serves a wide range of meals and snacks with an emphasis on raw, natural and plant-based ingredients.
Three menu themes – Very Healthy, Very Nutritive and Very Tasty – enable diners to choose their foods in tune with their tastes, needs and mood.
SMASH welcomes everyone, from those dropping in for a quick drink with friends to families enjoying quality downtime. Free juice shots, an ice cream counter and zoned dining areas – ranging from a calming, zen patio to a grassy area with bouncy castle – ensure a fun experience for all.
Other changes at Vale do Lobo’s Tennis Academy this year have included a new swimming pool experience, four new padel courts, fitness centre, two new deck areas, new sunbeds and parasols and the addition of five family-centric areas with Balinese beds, settees and coffee tables.
Further changes are afoot at Vale do Lobo, with new off-plan properties being introduced later this year in the resort’s lush green Vale Real area. The apartments, linked villas and townhouses are already in hot demand, with Alda Filipe, Regional Director at Kronos Homes and Board Member at Vale do Lobo, revealing the resort has, “a waiting list of clients eager to be the first to secure a reservation.”
Vale do Lobo revealed earlier this year that interest from property buyers has been “exceptional” from 2023 into 2024, with buyers from Portugal, the UK, Ireland and the US demonstrating a particular interest in purchasing high-end homes in the Algarve.
