Combat precision: Tudor’s collaboration with the French Navy

In collaboration with the French navy, Tudor has created the watch Pelagos FXD model

It is a link that dates back to the 1950s. The regular supplier to the French navy until the 1980s, Tudor gives continuity to this historical relationship and present the Pelagos FXD model, developed in collaboration with the French Navy’s combat swimmers, the Commando Hubert. Through the acronym FXD, the brand refers to the particularly robust fixed bars for the straps, but the particular specifications of this model don’t stop there.

Designer for underwater navigation and optimised for professional use, the Pelagos FXD features a 42mm satin-brushed titanium case, the background of which bears the Marine Nationale (French navy) logo and the “MN21” (Marina Nationale 2021) inscription, inspired on the original engravings from the 70s and 80s.

Powering this model is the manufacturing calibre MT5602, with silicon spiral and a power reserve of 70 hours. Featuring the typical finishes of the in-house manufacturing calibres, with an open tungsten monoblock rotor and a brushed satin finish, its structure reflects strength, longevity, reliability and precision.

The “Snowflake” hands with luminescent materials is another feature to highlight on this model, which features a one-piece fabric strap with a contact clasp system, navy blue with grey central filament and an additional rubber strap in one piece with an embossed fabric motif.
