Amendoeira revamp completed as property sales boom

Amendoeira Golf Resort in Silves has a new clubhouse, reception, restaurant and sports bar following an extensive revamp project carried out by Spanish developer Kronos Homes.

The restaurant also boasts a new menu inspired by Mediterranean cuisine, but which still includes ‘all the classics’ usually served at a golf clubhouse.

Meanwhile, the four-star resort also saw an 80% year-on-year boost in property sales, with demand for homes with a private pool and garden increasing this year.

Among the main buyers are British, French, Swedish and Canadian investors, the developer says.

“We have a multicultural community of owners. This investment has strengthened Amendoeira Golf Resort’s value, which is receiving recognition in this new reality, due to its privacy, low building density across 270 hectares surrounded by nature, as well as the assurance of safety and tranquility,” says Rui Meneses Ferreira, a partner of Kronos Homes in Portugal.

The resort is renowned for promoting a healthy lifestyle and boasting several top-class sports infrastructures, including two prized 18-hole golf courses, a nine-hole course, a golf academy, a driving range and putting green, a football field built to FIFA’s standards, two five-a-side football pitches, six tennis courts, a completely-equipped gym and a one-kilometre jogging track.

The resort also has several furnished properties for sale, ranging from two-bedroom apartments to three and four-bedroom detached villas.

Says Kronos Homes, the recent revamp “sought to bring comfort and sophistication” to Amendoeira.

Special care was also taken to respect the Moorish-influenced architectural style, which gives the resort an “important distinguished element”.
