Pine Cliffs Resort in Albufeira celebrates 30th anniversary with Famous Portuguese names from Masterchef
Pine Cliffs Resort in Albufeira is celebrating its 30th anniversary with a series of special dinners, each prepared by a famous Portuguese chef, at MIMO restaurant.
Three of the four chefs taking part – Marlene Vieira, Óscar Geadas and Vítor Sobral – appeared this year as judges of the Portuguese edition of competitive cooking reality show ‘Masterchef’ on RTP1 channel.

Each dinner will take place on Thursdays and feature an eight-course menu prepared by one of the chefs, with dishes inspired by traditional Algarvian cuisine and paired with selected wines.
The first dinner happened this July 21, prepared by Michelin-starred chef Rui Paula, with Jorge Serôdio Borges from Wine & Soul.

Marlene Vieira, who has taken Portugal’s fine dining scene by storm with her work at Zunzum Gastrobar (Lisbon), will take the reins of MIMO’s kitchen on July 28, alongside Andrea and Sandra Tavares from Alenquer winery Quinta da Chocapalha.
Trás-os-Montes chef Óscar Geadas, another Michelin-starred chef, will be up next on August 4 and will see his dishes paired with Ribeiro Santos wines by sommelier Carlos Lucas.

Chef Vítor Sobral – one of the most respected names of Portuguese gastronomy – will be the last to ‘take the stage’ on August 11, serving his culinary creations alongside Esporão wines selected by José Luís Moreira da Silva.

“This is an initiative that we have wanted to organise for some time, and this year it gains special meaning,” said Dário Calado, Pine Cliffs Resort’s head of F&B.
To celebrate the anniversary, the resort decided to challenge four of the country’s “best chefs” and four highly-respected winemakers to take part.

“We are very excited and have great expectations for these events. We are sure that they will be memorable dinners and that MIMO Algarve is the perfect space to host them,” Calado added.
All events will be exclusively for adults and open to 50 people each. They begin at 8pm and cost €285 per person, including wine pairing, a welcome drink and the eight-course meal.
