Cerro da Vila Museum and Roman Ruins opens to visitors following renovation

The recent lockdown was the perfect time for renovation works at Cerro da Vila Museum and Roman Ruins, in Vilamoura, which now boasts new showcases with never-before-seen pieces and new tools to help visitors make the most of this space, such as an app, 360º virtual tours, audio guides, and much more.

The Museum is located on Avenida do Cerro da Vila, next to the Marina and on the road leading to Falésia beach and is open Tuesday to Saturday from 10am to 12.30pm and from 2pm to 6pm. Tickets cost between €2 and €4 and visits can be booked for large groups or schools.

To learn more about the renovation process and what the Museum has to offer, keep an eye out for the May/June edition of Essential Algarve, where we speak to Scott Bennett, marketing director of Vilamoura World (the master planner) and archaeologists Ana Pratas and Filipe Henriques.
