Three weekends filled with thrilling endurance and speed races
The Algarve International Racetrack (AIA) kicks off the year with three races to enjoy over the final weekends of January.
The action begins with the Porsche Spring Challenge (January 18–19), followed by the Winter Series (January 23–26), and concludes with the 6 Hours of Portimão – Winter Series (January 31 to February 2).
Porsche Spring Challenge | January 18–19
The Porsche Spring Challenge marks the start of Round 1 of the European Winter Season. This prestigious event will showcase the performance of iconic Porsche models in sprint racing, where “strategy, speed, and precision” are tested in short, intense races. Featured categories include the high-performance 911 GT3 Cup and 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport.
Tickets for paddock access are available for just €10 for the full weekend and can be purchased at AIA’s shop.
Winter Series | January 23–26
The second event, the Winter Series, is an endurance competition and a prominent race of the European racing calendar, with four days of racing. Fans will enjoy action from GT Winter Series, GT4 Winter Series, Prototype Winter Series, and Formula Winter Series categories.

6 Hours of Portimão – Winter Series | January 31 to February 2
Closing out the month is the 6 Hours of Portimão Winter Series, “one of the most exciting” races of the Winter Series. This six-hour endurance race features experienced teams from the global endurance scene, delivering high-stakes action for motorsport enthusiasts.
Qualifying takes place on Saturday (January 31), with the main race on Sunday (February 1). The weekend will be packed with a variety of exciting high-level support categories, including the GT Winter Series, GT4 Winter Series, Prototype Winter Series, and Formula Winter Series, promising an electrifying atmosphere for the weekend. Tickets for this event will also be available soon.
