Three-day event highlights national producers and exclusive labels

The Grande Mostra de Vinhos de Portugal returns to Albufeira from April 17-19, bringing hundreds of Portuguese wines to the city’s EMA multiuse space.

This year’s edition introduces a refreshed image and a stronger focus on improving the visitor experience. Over three days, visitors will be able to explore a wide range of Portuguese wine labels, including small-scale productions and exclusive editions from well-known wineries.

Now part of the regular cultural and tourism calendar, the event continues to attract strong interest, with last year’s edition welcoming around 10,000 visitors and 120 producers showcasing more than 800 wines from across the country.

Alongside the exhibition, the 11th edition of the Concurso de Vinhos de Portugal (Portugal Wine Contest) will also take place. The competition brings together an expert jury to evaluate wines through blind tastings.

Judging sessions are scheduled for April 11-12, with results to be announced during the official dinner on April 17.

The showcase runs daily from 3pm to 9pm, except on April 17, when it closes at 8pm.

Entry to the event is free, with tastings available through the purchase of an official glass for €5.

Grande Mostra de Vinhos de Portugal is organised by the Confraria do Bacchus de Albufeira in partnership with Albufeira Municipality, with support from the Algarve Tourism Region, the Albufeira Promotion Agency and the Algarve Wine Commission.
