Voted Best Marina in the World 2021, Vilamoura Marina is hosting a new edition of the International Boat Show

Vilamoura Marina is preparing to host another edition of Vilamoura International Boat Show between June 11 and 19. Held since 1999, the event attracts thousands of visitors every year.

Organisers describe it as “an open-air show of boats, which brings together all types – new and used – as well as representatives of brands of accessories, equipment and integrated services: all this combined with the glamorous lifestyle that is lived on the south coast of Portugal.”

“This show, with exhibition areas on land and at sea, allows you to experience and test the equipment in a practical and comfortable manner,” organisers say, adding that “visitors receive a personalised welcome to a natural environment that reflects the lifestyle”.

Over 50 brands will be taking part, from established names such as Yamaha and Suzuki to Portuguese company Sun Concept, which is “at the forefront of nautical innovation through a sustainable approach.”

Also confirmed to attend is Azimut Yachts, a world leader in the development of luxury yachts. In fact, the Italian brand has announced that it will be unveiling its new Azimut S6, the second model in the brand’s new S generation sports range, at the Vilamoura boat show.

Organiser Paulo Jorge says the boat show brings dynamism to the local economy and nautical sector and offers a “personalised reception to any nautical enthusiast.

“It is an unmissable opportunity to enjoy Vilamoura at a unique time when the marina gains new life and the whole surrounding atmosphere gains an incomparable energy,” he adds.

The event is organised by Vilamoura Marina with the help of AIP Foundation (FIL – Lisbon International Fair).

Vilamoura Marina is also described by organisers as “one of the main centres of attraction in the Algarve, featuring a wide range of tourism and leisure options.

“With 825 berths, this is the largest and most emblematic marina in Portugal, having received several international awards and occupying a place of reference in the national and international recreational boating scene,” they add.
