Discover the striking imagery and visual storytelling of the Scottish photographer in a new exhibition presented by In The Pink Gallery
Loulé’s In The Pink Gallery is presenting its first exhibition in collaboration with Conrad Algarve, bringing together Yarrow’s most recent works alongside a selection of his most iconic photographs.
Dramatic, powerful and full of raw emotion, the photographs invite visitors to experience Yarrow’s visual storytelling. The exhibition opens with a special event on October 29 (Thursday), from 6pm to 8pm, before opening to the public on October 30.
Born in Glasgow, Scotland, Yarrow developed an interest in photography at an early age. At just 20 years old, he found himself working as a photographer for The London Times at the 1986 FIFA World Cup Final in Mexico City, one of many major sporting events he covered during his early career as a press photographer.
He later turned his attention to the natural world, developing an immersive photographic style, photographing some of the world’s most endangered animals, often in remote locations.
Over the years, his subjects have ranged from sporting personalities and wildlife to supermodels and frontier towns. Since the Covid pandemic, he has devoted much of his work to a personal photographic anthology of the American Wild West, embracing his role as a storyteller as much as a photographer.
Today, Yarrow’s work is represented by more than 40 galleries worldwide.
