Enjoy live jazz at Quinta do Lago and discover the Algarve International Organ Festival, with concerts across the region this autumn
Jazz on the menu
Amara restaurant at Four Seasons Fairways in Quinta do Lago once again combines dining with live music for its Jazz Nights.
On October 17 and 28 and November 11 and 25, the duo André Capela and Cathy Borges will provide a selection of jazz throughout dinner.
Led by chef Nelson Candeias, Amara’s kitchen offers a contemporary interpretation of Portuguese cuisine, with an emphasis on regional produce and a menu that allows diners to create their own tasting journey.
The restaurant is open from Tuesday to Saturday from 6.30pm, and advance booking is recommended.
Sacred sounds
The 19th Algarve International Organ Festival returns from October 30, bringing the sounds of this instrument to venues across the region.
The programme features solo recitals, chamber music and choral performances by Portuguese and international organists.
Throughout the festival, historic churches become concert venues for a programme that combines music with a celebration of the Algarve’s religious heritage. Events continue throughout November, with concerts taking place in Faro, Portimão, Loulé, Tavira, Lagoa, and Lagos.
