From music festivals and a luxury gala to an international boat show, summer is in full swing across the region
MED Festival unveils 2026 programme
Loulé’s MED Festival is back for its most international edition ever, with artists from 30 countries converging on the town’s historic centre between June 25 and 28. Over 50 concerts will unfold across five main stages, turning the old town into a crossroads of cultures, rhythms and languages.

This year’s line-up includes internationally recognised names such as Goran Bregović, Salif Keita, Sean Kuti & The Egypt 80, Tiken Jah Fakoly and Portugal’s Sérgio Godinho, alongside artists from Cuba, Chile, Pakistan, Hungary, Angola, Cabo Verde and beyond.
The venue area will be enlarged, a new MED Lounge space introduced, and the municipal market fully integrated into the programme with continuous activities.
Pine Cliffs Summer Gala
British singer-songwriter Jessie J will headline the 23rd edition of the Summer Gala at Pine Cliffs Resort in Albufeira on July 31, promising a night of “glamour, music and pure emotion”.

One of the Algarve’s most anticipated summer events, the gala combines international music with a refined social atmosphere. Gold tickets (€475) include a luxury buffet dinner, whilst Diamond (€650) offer an exclusive set-menu experience.
Carvoeiro dons black & white
Carvoeiro’s popular Black & White Night returns on June 20, celebrating summer with one of the Algarve’s largest open-air events.

Held across the town centre and beach, the celebration brings together thousands of visitors dressed in black and white. Multiple stages host live music, DJs and street entertainment throughout the evening, whilst bars and food outlets add to the festive atmosphere.
Free to attend, the event drew more than 30,000 people in 2025 and remains a highlight of the region’s summer calendar.
Marina de Vilamoura International Boat Show
Marina de Vilamoura is hosting another edition of the Marina de Vilamoura International Boat Show between June 6-14, open daily from 11am to 9pm with free entry.

Organised in partnership with FIL – Feira Internacional de Lisboa, the event brings together leading brands, with a focus on new and pre-owned boats, as well as the latest in accessories, equipment, and integrated services.
Last year’s edition welcomed more than 100,000 visitors, including professionals, investors, and enthusiasts, reinforcing its status as a key meeting point for the sector and a valuable contribution to the regional economy.
