Wheel-to-wheel battles are expected from start to finish at the Algarve International Circuit
The Algarve International Circuit (AIA) will host the second round of the Spanish Formula 4 Championship this weekend, as the series returns to Portimão for another competitive chapter of the season.
Spectators will witness a packed weekend built around fast-paced racing. Recognised by the FIA, Spanish Formula 4 Championship continues to position itself as one of the key stepping stones for drivers aiming for Formula 1, drawing rising international talent and established teams.
A total of 35 young drivers will take part in five races across two action-packed days, on the weekend of June 6-7, on “one of the most demanding and exciting circuits on the calendar”, as organisers say.
Saturday, the track opens with F4 Spanish Championship Qualifying 1 at 9am, followed by Eurocup-3 Qualifying 1 at 10am. Racing begins at 11am with F4 Spanish Championship Race 1 (30 minutes + 1 lap), followed by Eurocup-3 Race 1 at 12.15pm. The day concludes with F4 Spanish Championship Race 2 (25 minutes + 1 lap) at 1.50pm, after a one-hour break.
Sunday, Qualifying 2 follows at 9am for the F4 Spanish Championship, with Eurocup-3 Qualifying 2 at 10am. Racing resumes at 11am with F4 Spanish Championship Race 3 (30 minutes + 1 lap), followed by Eurocup-3 Race 2 at 12.15pm.
The Spanish Formula 4 Championship began earlier this season with its opening round in Spain on April 10-12. Round 3 follows on June 19-21, before continuing across Spain with rounds on August 22-23, September 25-27, October 9-11, and November 6-8.
Tickets, which include paddock access, are available for €10 from the Kartódromo Internacional do Algarve.
