Tivoli Carvoeiro’s The One restaurant hosts special dinner on May 10

Awarded a Wine Spectator Award of Excellence, is presenting a new Wine Dinner for the month of May

Executive chef Bruno Augusto paired up with one of Portugal’s most renowned wine producers, Barranco Longo, for the special dinner, which is “designed in detail to enhance the quality of local products and support farmers and producers in the region”.

The menu is perfectly paired with wines from the Algarve producer, carefully selected for each of the dishes, “to awaken the senses”.

Starting at 8pm, guests will be welcomed with Barranco Longo Sparkling Rosé Reserva Bruto Natural Quê 04 accompanied by a selection of canapés, setting the stage for pre-dinner mingling.

The gastronomic experience will begin at 8.30pm with the beef tartare with truffle vinaigrette as a starter, paired with Barranco Longo Open Red Clarete, a wine “made from select and gently vinified grapes, fresh, well-structured and full of personality”.

As for the main highlights of the dinner, chef Bruno Augusto has prepared two “sublime moments”.

For the fish dish, which “is always fresh and tasty”, the suggestion is grilled turbot with spinach purée and meat jus, paired with Barranco Longo Branco Reserva, “creating a good balance of flavours”.

As for the meat dish, the chef proposes rib-eye steak with potato terrine and del Piquillo peppers, paired with Barranco Longo Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon, which is described as “intense and well-structured with a pleasant freshness that gives it some elegance”.

For the big finale, there will be an almond tart with honey and lemon ice cream, grapes and dark chocolate and Barranco Longo K.O., a “late harvest, sweet white wine, ideal for the knockout, also known as the KO”, and perfect for “closing the fight at the end of an excellent meal”.

The Wine Dinner costs €65 per person, with water, coffee or tea included in the price.

The One restaurant is open daily for dinners, between 7pm and 10pm.
