The Taycan saloon might be the more executive version of the model, and perhaps the favourite for companies, but the Taycan Cross Turismo is the most interesting.
In fact, it is the most captivating of all the fully electric vehicles Porsche makes, and the one that stirs the greatest desire among the brand’s most devoted fans.
Essential Algarve tested the Taycan 4 Cross Turismo, arguably the most balanced version of them all and, in many ways, the most appealing.
With 435 horsepower and 610Nm of torque (with overboost activated), the Taycan 4 CT can go from 0 to 100km/h in just 4.7 seconds and reach top speeds of 220km/h.
Porsche claims a maximum urban range of 696km, whilst under mixed driving conditions it can reach up to 614km.
Although these figures are somewhat optimistic, the Taycan 4 CT can comfortably cover around 500km on a single charge. The maximum DC charging power is 320kW, which means it takes only 10 minutes to go from 10% to 80% charge.
On the road, the Taycan CT is everything you would expect from a Porsche, and more. The brand’s unmistakable sporting feel is markedly present, quality is abundant, and the technology is state of the art. A true object of desire in car form.
