A “Journey to the Bottom of the Sea” with chef Luís Mourão
Located in Praia da Falésia, EPIC SANA Algarve is hosting a unique gastronomic experience on October 4. Curated by chef Luís Mourão, the “Journey to the Bottom of the Sea” will be a six-course tasting dinner that combines haute cuisine, creativity, and immersive technology, taking visitors into a true sensory experience of the marine world.
The menu, inspired by the flavours, aromas, and textures of the ocean, will offer exclusive creations such as the Atlantic Breeze, The Submerged Garden, Treasure of the Net, The Grotto, Foam of the Waves, and Sweet Urchin.
Starting at 7pm with a welcoming cocktail, the dinner will take place from 8pm to 11.30pm, where each dish will be presented in a scenographical way, with elements inspired by the sea, elegant pairings, and details that “awaken all the senses”.
The experience will be enriched with a set of special effects and multimedia interactions, with 360º projections around the walls and ceiling with underwater scenes, sounds of whales and tides, video mapping on the dishes, and scents evoking the sea breeze.
The experience has been carefully designed “to transport guests to the heart of the ocean”, in a dinner that is both “a gastronomic masterpiece and an artistic spectacle”.
“We want each person to feel that they are living a journey, not just a meal. It is a fusion of signature cuisine, art, and technology, with the Algarve as the backdrop and the sea as the protagonist,” says chef Luís Mourão.
The event includes welcome cocktails, the 6-course immersive dinner and wine pairing, at €260 per person.
