Over 100 historic vehicles will tour the region, with a special stage at the Algarve International Circuit
More than 100 classic cars will travel across the Algarve this July as Algarve Classic Cars returns for its 33rd edition, bringing together collectors, drivers and motoring enthusiasts from Portugal and abroad.
The annual event combines competition with scenic routes through some of the region’s best-known towns. Over the years, the rally has become one of the Iberian Peninsula’s leading historic motoring events, attracting rare vintage and classic automobiles to Algarve roads.
Organised by Portugal Classic in partnership with the Portuguese Classic Car Club, the event will once again offer the public several opportunities to see the cars up close as they pass through Vilamoura, Portimão, Lagoa, Ferragudo, Carvoeiro, Armação de Pêra, Faro, São Brás de Alportel, Loulé and Albufeira.
One of this year’s highlights will be the return of a special timed stage at the Algarve International Circuit (AIA) in Portimão, adding a more competitive moment to the weekend programme.

The rally begins on Friday, July 10, at Vilamoura Marina, where the event registration desk opens at 12pm. The first competitive moment, the Murganheira Stage, starts at 7pm with the Casino de Vilamoura Circuit, before crews return at around 7.30pm.
On Saturday, July 11, participants leave Vilamoura at 9am for the Liqui Moly Stage, heading towards the Algarve International Circuit. The morning route is expected to finish in Portimão at around 12pm.
The afternoon programme resumes at 3.30pm from the Lagoa Congress Centre, with cars passing through Ferragudo shortly afterwards before the Carvoeiro Special Stage at 4pm. After a stop at Vila Vita Parc at approximately 4.40pm, crews continue with the Viborel Stage, which includes the traditional Opticalia Circuit in Armação de Pêra at around 5.15pm. The day ends with a return to Casino de Vilamoura at approximately 6pm.
The final day, Sunday, July 12, begins at 9.30am from Centro Porsche Faro. Competitors will then take part in the Cerro de São Miguel Special Stage at 10.30am, followed by a stop in São Brás de Alportel at 10.50am.
The route continues through Loulé at around 11.20am before reaching Albufeira at 12pm. The rally concludes with the Albufeira European City of Sport 2026 Circuit at 12.30pm, ahead of the prize-giving ceremony at Epic Sana Algarve at 3.30pm.
“Algarve Classic Cars is a celebration of automobile culture, combining nostalgia and conviviality in a unique setting,” organisers say. “The event establishes itself, year after year, as an unmissable standout in the calendars of classic car lovers, attracting national and international visitors and participants and strengthening the Algarve’s role as a leading destination in this discipline.”
