December brings a specially curated calendar of Advent activities, festive events, and seasonal experiences at Victoria Golf Resort & Spa

Throughout December, Victoria Golf Resort & Spa, located in Vilamoura, has prepared a series of exclusive events to mark this magical season, offering guests a specially planned calendar of Advent activities to celebrate the most enchanting time of the year.

The celebrations will begin on the first of the month and continue until December 31, with daily activities for everyone. To kick off the festivities, there will be a Christmas Tree lighting ceremony accompanied by a choir performance on December 5, from 5pm to 8pm, in the hotel’s Lobby Lounge.

For wine and spirit enthusiasts, traditional flavours and regional wines will be showcased through a variety of tastings: Gingerbread Martini Cocktail Class (December 1, 6pm to 7pm); Whiskey tasting with Loch Lomond (December 2, 4.30pm to 6pm); Oysters & Champagne tasting (December 6, 6pm to 7pm); Glühwein Tasting (December 7 and 14, 5pm to 6pm); Classic Port Wine Tasting (December 8, 4.30pm to 6pm); Gin tasting with Campbeltown (December 15, 4.30pm to 6pm).

Creative workshops will include Portuguese Tile Painting Workshop  (December 10, 2pm to 4pm), led by a local family studio dedicated to preserving this traditional craft, allowing guests to create a personalised souvenir; Cork Workshop (December 17, 5.30pm to 7pm), where guests can craft unique, sustainable pieces from this natural material; Christmas Ornament Workshop (December 12, 3pm to 5pm; December 23, 3pm to 5pm).

Family-friendly activities will delight all ages, including Lotto nights, live music after golf hours, Letters to Santa, Christmas tales, family movie nights, Yule log decorations, and a Christmas market on 13 December featuring local crafts, regional flavours, designer fashion, festive decorations, handmade candles, live entertainment, and many other surprises.

For fitness enthusiasts, the resort offers Pilates (December 12, 9am to 10am), Stretching (December 19, 9am to 10am), Football Cup (December 20, 10.30am to 12pm), Sunrise Power Walk (December 21, 7am to 8.30am), Kids Golf Clinic (December 20, 10am to 12pm; December 27, 10am to 12pm).

As for the special nights, on Christmas Eve, the resort’s RIA Restaurant will host a special dinner featuring a three-course menu inspired by the flavours of the Algarve, including a selection of regional starters and main courses, with prices starting at €90 per adult.

To welcome the New Year in style, guests are welcomed to the movie-themed Masquerade Party, which will present a series of live performances, from acappella singers to acrobats, followed by a three-course dinner, featuring a seafood cocktail and truffle-infused meat, accompanied by several performances, and culminating in a live show with sixteen artists and a countdown by the foyer waterfall. After welcoming 2026, the celebration will continue into the night with live DJ music.

Prices for the New Year’s Masked Dinner, including Victoria’s selection of drinks, party access, and accommodation, start at €500 per adult.
