Christmas at Quinta do Lago: A festive season for the whole family

The resort launches its Christmas Market, light switch-on, and a full calendar of seasonal events from November 30

Quinta do Lago is preparing to welcome the festive season with a calendar of events and experiences for all ages, blending winter flavours, entertainment, and holiday traditions across the resort. Festivities begin on November 30 with the Christmas Light Switch-on and Christmas Market at Dano’s Plaza, running from 4pm to 11pm.

Visitors will be able to browse handcrafted gifts, sample regional delicacies, and enjoy festive food and wine, whilst younger guests can make the most of a dedicated entertainment area featuring face painting, traditional games, a bouncy castle, and a Christmas workshop. Music will set the tone throughout the evening, beginning with a DJ set, followed by the high-energy Al-Fanfarre performance and live music until late.

The lighting of the Quinta do Lago Christmas Tree will mark the highlight of the evening, signalling the official start of the resort’s festive period.

Beyond opening night, the programme continues with Christmas celebrations, group dinners, Advent Sunday Roasts, live music, workshops, Christmas Brunch, Boxing Day events, New Year’s festivities, and a variety of family activities.

This year’s Festive Gatherings showcase the diversity of the resort’s dining scene. Dano’s offers a relaxed setting with an international menu built on fresh, local ingredients, whilst Casa Velha brings a more traditional Portuguese flair, reinterpreting classic dishes and pairing them with some of the country’s finest wines. Casa do Lago adds a scenic lakeside backdrop with Mediterranean-inspired cuisine and fresh seafood, and Umami introduces a contemporary note through Asian-fusion dishes served in a modern space.
