Get ready for an exciting and unconventional to-do list this holiday season
W Algarve, in Albufeira, has crafted a full programme of celebrations for every mood and age group this festive season. From Christmas Eve feasts to DJ nights, cooking sessions, and New Year’s parties, the resort promises days and nights that are “anything but ordinary”.
On December 24, the celebrations begin with Live Music at Market Kitchen (7pm to 9.30pm, €135 adults, €70 children) or at the Paper Moon (€135 adults, €70 children). As night falls, the Jingle Jam Night takes over W Lounge from 9pm to 1am, where the resident DJ will spin festive beats for a glamorous Christmas Eve.
Wine lovers can toast the holidays at the Festive Wine Tasting on December 25 and 29 (from 5.30pm to 7pm, €30 per person) at Vino, whilst football fans gather at W Studios on December 26 for Football Boxing Day, with Premier League matches all day long.
Workshops will add flavour to the season: the Cataplana Masters (€35 pp) on December 27, Pizza Masterclass (€15 pp) on December 26 and 29, Mixology Masterclass (€15 pp) on December 26 and 28, a family-friendly Gingerbread Cookie Decoration (free access) on December 25, and a Sushi Masterclass on December 24 and 28, at the Market Kitchen (€35 pp). All offer a playful and delicious way to celebrate the festive season.
For those who love the rhythm, the DJ Academy (free access) on December 25, 27 and 30, between 4pm and 5.30pm, invites guests to step behind the decks and learn the art of mixing.
The grand finale to this year will come with The Last of 2025, with a dazzling New Year’s Eve Dinner at Market Kitchen or Paper Moon restaurants starting at 7pm (Adults Buffet €205; Children under 12 €95), with live music starting at 8pm at Market Kitchen.
Welcoming the new year, before the clock hits 12am, the House of Style will take place from 11pm, with live music at the W Lounge and Paper Moon until 2am. And late-night revellers can keep the energy high at Late Night Slices, an all-you-can-eat pizza celebration with DJ WESTVIL, bubbles, and bold flavours until the early hours at Paper Moon Algarve.
For the start of the year, W has also prepared a Start It With Brunch for January 1, between 12.30pm and 3.30pm at Paper Moon (€65 pp), with accompanying beats from the resident DJ.
Alongside the celebratory events, wellness enthusiasts can keep their bodies in shape with the Wellness Programme running from December 22 to January 3, which will offer yoga, fitness, and kids’ activities like archery and creative workshops to keep everyone energised and inspired throughout the holidays.
