Some seasons are defined by what changes. Others by what brings people together. At Quinta do Lago, autumn is a little of both. As the pace of summer begins to ease, the resort takes on a different rhythm.

The days remain made for being outdoors, while cooler temperatures create new opportunities to linger over lunch, meet for dinner, enjoy a round of golf or discover something new with family and friends.

Food naturally takes centre stage. Across Quinta do Lago, restaurants offer new reasons to gather, from relaxed autumn lunches and Sunday Roast at Dano’s to evenings shaped around seasonal flavours, cocktails and live entertainment.

From October 24 to 31, Quinta do Lago Cocktail Week brings eight days of drinks, dining and entertainment across the resort, with a different destination to discover each day.

From Dano’s and Casa do Lago to KOKO, The Shack, Bovino, Casa Velha, Gigi Bar and Umami, the week offers a taste of the many ways the resort comes alive in autumn.

At Dano’s, Beer Fest adds another reason to gather, bringing a relaxed, social energy to the autumn calendar.

And as Cocktail Week unfolds, Halloween takes centre stage.

For almost a week, the resort becomes a setting for family adventures, themed dining and live entertainment. The Scary Run gets things moving on October 26, followed by Pirates of the Caribbean at The Shack, Bovino’s Boo Bash Brunch and The Haunted Shack. KOKO hosts its Spooktacular Costume Parade, while Casa do Lago sets the scene for a Haunted Dinner by the lake.

The celebrations continue with Spooky Mini Golf and Zombies on the Loose at Dano’s, while The Magnolia Hotel adds its own seasonal touch with Halloween cocktails from October 30 to November 1.

It is Halloween on a Quinta do Lago scale: imaginative, social and designed for different generations to enjoy together.

But the season does not end there. As November arrives, the focus shifts naturally towards the outdoors, with The Campus continuing to bring movement and energy to everyday life.

Cycling, tennis, padel and other sporting experiences remain part of the resort’s year-round lifestyle, while the cooler months provide an ideal setting for enjoying the outdoors at a different pace. The Campus Triathlon returns on November 8 for its ninth edition, bringing athletes together against the backdrop of Quinta do Lago and the Ria Formosa Natural Park.

Perhaps that is what makes autumn at Quinta do Lago so distinctive. The season changes, but the reasons to gather keep coming. Around a table, beside the lake, on a running route, on the golf course or in the middle of a Halloween celebration, there is always another experience to share.

At Quinta do Lago, autumn is not simply a quieter season. It is a different way to come together.
