Sunday Roast arrives at Ciro restaurant in Guia

Vila Vita Parc’s latest restaurant brings a British dining tradition to the Algarve, with a new Sunday lunch menu featuring roast meats and dishes to share with family and friends

Ciro, the Mediterranean fire-cooking restaurant that opened in Guia this summer, is bringing a taste of Britain to the Algarve with the introduction of its Sunday Roast menu from November 8.

Served every Sunday between 12.30pm and 4pm, the lunch is designed for sharing, with a selection of starters, roast meats and side dishes served in the centre of the table.

The meal begins with sourdough bread accompanied by smoked butter, baba ganoush with roasted peppers and goat’s cheese with za’atar. Starters also include aubergine with tahini emulsion, seed granola, chilli oil and sumac, alongside bluefin tuna belly with a Port wine and quince reduction, and beef tartare served on brioche.

The main attraction is a selection of three roasted meats: roast beef, rotisserie chicken and marinated Iberian pork presa. These are served with traditional Yorkshire pudding, carrots, parsnips and potatoes, cauliflower gratin, meat gravy, horseradish cream, apple sauce and mustard. Guests can also add Pigs in Blanket, the traditional British side dish of sausages wrapped in bacon.

For dessert, options available separately include homemade ice cream, mascarpone semifreddo and toffee pudding served with vanilla ice cream.

Ciro’s Sunday Roast lunches are priced at €58 per person and €29 for children aged 4 to 12.

Ciro is open Wednesday to Saturday, from 6pm to 10.30pm, and Sundays from 12.30pm to 5pm.
