New Botanica development brings sustainable living to the heart of Vilamoura

Botanica Vilamoura 3

The new residential project will feature 55 apartments, resort-style amenities and strong sustainability credentials

Vilamoura resort has unveiled its latest residential development, Botanica, promising a rare mix of urban convenience and nature-led living in one of the Algarve’s most sought-after locations.

Located in a central area of Vilamoura, Botanica is an exclusive residential project designed by architect Samuel Torres de Carvalho. It features 55 apartments, ranging from two- to four-bedroom units (T2 to T4), with sizes between 107 and 202 square metres.

Blending traditional influences with contemporary architecture, the development uses eco-friendly materials, generous layouts and landscaped balconies that help blur the line between indoor and outdoor living. Residents will also benefit from communal gardens and green spaces.

Homes at Botanica come with premium-designed kitchens and bathrooms, alongside smart home technology that allows residents to manage lighting, climate and other features digitally.

One of the main highlights of the development is its resort-style amenities, designed to support what is described as a comfortable and sophisticated lifestyle. Residents will have access to two swimming pools – one outdoor and one heated indoor pool – as well as a gym, spa and fitness centre. The project also includes a children’s pool and play area, a coworking space and secure private parking. Select units and penthouses offer private terraces, gardens and swimming pools.

Sustainability is a central part of the Botanica concept. The development has been awarded top-tier environmental certifications, including A+ energy efficiency, A-rated water efficiency (AQUA+) and an A sustainability certification (LIDER A). It also operates a collective solar self-consumption community, using photovoltaic panels to generate renewable energy for residents, with surplus energy shared across the development.

Residents will also benefit from easy access to championship golf courses, a renowned equestrian centre, sailing facilities and a wide range of outdoor sports.

Designed to offer residents a strong sense of well-being and a closer connection to nature, without sacrificing access to the resort’s amenities, the project is being managed by Norfin SGOIC. Construction is already underway, with completion scheduled for early 2027, as part a wider residential strategy by Arrow Global Portugal, which owns Vilamoura World, the resort’s master developer.
