The charity Pro-Am brought together 63 teams from across Europe, raising €10,000
Quinta do Lago hosted another edition of the Algarvian Charity Pro-Am Golf Tournament, one of Europe’s most important charity golf events. The tournament took place over the past week and brought together 252 international players, raising €10,000 for APATRIS.

Players travelled from across Europe to compete in the Pro-Am format event, which featured 63 teams and used the two best scores per hole system. Professionals competed in stroke play (medal). Over five days, participants played five rounds of golf – four on Quinta do Lago’s award-winning courses and one at Ombria Algarve.
The Algarvian Charity Pro-Am has grown beyond a sporting competition, with a strong lifestyle element, combining high-level golf with hospitality, dining and a strong sense of community. Alongside the competitive element, the tournament raised €10,000 in support of APATRIS – the Algarve Association for People with Trisomy 21, reinforcing its charitable focus.

Most participants were international players who travelled specifically to the Algarve for the tournament and stayed at the resort. They were joined by several teams made up of Quinta do Lago members, adding to the event’s community driven atmosphere.
Following the success of this edition, the next Algarvian Charity Pro-Am has already been confirmed. The tournament will return to Quinta do Lago from January 10 to 16, 2027, further strengthening its place on the European amateur and professional golf calendar.

“By hosting initiatives such as the Algarvian Charity Pro-Am, Quinta do Lago strengthens its positioning as a world-class golf destination, capable of attracting international events that combine sport, hospitality, economic impact and social responsibility,” said Sean Moriarty, CEO of Quinta do Lago.
