The Algarve resort once again achieves global recognition

The Algarve resort continues to solidify its reputation as one of the top spas in Portugal. Vila Vita Spa by Sisley Paris has been named Portugal’s Best Resort Spa at the 2025 World Spa Awards, marking the sixth time it has received this prestigious distinction.

This award, which Vila Vita Spa – a member of The Leading Hotels of the World – has previously received in 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, and now again in 2025, has further cemented its international reputation.

A true benchmark in the wellness segment, the resort’s spa manager Judith Gerls shared to the press that this recognition validates the team’s vision of combining cutting-edge wellness technology with personalised care, as well as acknowledges the spa’s pioneering treatments, such the exclusive world-renowned Golden Quartz experience, and the dedication its therapists put into every journey.

“It is extremely rewarding to know that this recognition comes from our guest experiences – their relaxation, renewal and joy are what drive us to continually innovate and raise our standards,” she added.

Offering a wide range of treatments, the spa is celebrated for blending advanced scientific techniques with the finest natural ingredients, including carefully selected plant extracts and essential oils, chosen for their biological properties and compatibility with the skin. It is also the first branded spa in Portugal to partner with the renowned French skincare house, Sisley Paris.

Constantly innovating, the spa features advanced technology such as Icoone – a painless and non-invasive face and body treatment that visibly improves the skin’s appearance and combats cellulite – and Indiba, a regenerative medicine technique used both for injury recovery as for aesthetic, beauty and intimate health treatments.

Boasting 14 treatment rooms and a yoga studio, which also offers aerial yoga, the spa pays homage to the sea caves of the Algarve, creating a serene and restorative ambiance, open all year round with a dynamic programme for all ages.

The spa regularly hosts international specialists, including Suraj Varma, who will be in residence from October 9 to 25, bringing traditional Indian medicine, aromatherapy, and reflexology practices from his internationally recognized Ayurvedic therapy practices.
