Spanning various locations and decades, the exhibition explores how landscape, architecture, and light shape our perception of time and place

Acclaimed Portuguese artist and photographer Nuno Cera is set to present a major solo exhibition at In The Pink – Fine Photo Art Gallery, in Loulé.

Opening November 28, the exhibition brings together a curated selection of works from three of his most celebrated long-term series: Hora Certa (Right Time), Janela Infinita (Infinite Window), and A Room With A View.

A room with a view

Renowned for his cinematic approach and deep visual research, Cera’s photography explores the emotional and architectural fabric of contemporary landscapes – from the fog-veiled streets of Macao to the liminal coastlines of remote islands.

Hora Certa offers a global drift through suspended states, whilst Janela Infinita uses the ocean as both subject and metaphor, inviting viewers into shifting reflections of place and perception.

In A Room With A View, Cera captures fleeting moments of intimacy through anonymous hotel room windows across the world, creating a layered meditation on detachment, memory, and desire.

Cera, one of Portugal’s leading visual artists, creates images that bridge the real and the fictional, offering moments of stillness in a busy world.

His work has been exhibited at major institutions such as Serralves Museum, MAAT (Lisbon), CCCB Barcelona (Spain), and the Venice Architecture Biennale (Italy).

He is also the co-curator of the 2025 Portuguese Pavilion (Paraíso, Hoje) and artist-in-residence at the Champalimaud Foundation (Portugal).

This exhibition offers a rare opportunity to see three major series by Nuno Cera together, highlighting a practice that is visually striking, conceptually rich, and deeply attuned to the changing world around us.

The exhibition is open to the public, from November 28, between Mondays and Fridays from 10am to 6pm, and on Saturdays from 10am 2pm.
