Corpo de Hoje Festival 1

From performing arts in Loulé to exhibitions in Faro and Portimão

Corpo de Hoje Festival

Between March 21-29, Loulé welcomes the 8th edition of the Corpo de Hoje performing arts festival

With a diverse programme and activities such as walks and picnics, areas of Natural and Material Heritage are explored in close proximity to the community. There are dance shows, performances, children’s theatre, a cultural market and spaces where emotional stories are told.

The event encourages listening to the body and reflecting on how we feel, see, look at and know “the body today”. With the aim of fostering intellectual and social growth, the festival offers workshops with concepts of improvisation and experimentation.

Originally from São Brás de Alportel, he was a leading figure in Portuguese Modernism. A writer, journalist and even a pioneer of cinema in the region, he stands as a “notable figure of the cultural and artistic elite of the late 19th and 20th centuries”, says Marco Lopes, director of the museum.

Winners of the 25th Portimão Photo Race

The winning entries from the 25th Portimão Photography Race will be on display at the Portimão Museum until March 29.

This edition recaptures the spirit of the first Photography Race, which took place in 2001, with 24-hour and 12-hour photography categories and 24 themes inspired by the competition’s debut.

The creativity of the participants from all over Portugal and 10 different nationalities stands out, as well as the distinct and original perspective that each one has on Portimão, from its heritage to its daily life and traditions. The competition took place in May 2025 with plenty of stories of adventure, adrenaline and insight.
