Adega at Vila Vita Parc presents “Territories of Portugal” seasonal menus

Regional menus celebrate traditional cuisine, wines and cultural identity

Adega, the Portuguese restaurant at Vila Vita Parc in Porches, is presenting a new edition of its culinary initiative “Territories of Portugal” for this year. The project offers a gastronomic journey through the country’s regions, with menus inspired by traditional cuisine and local ingredients.

Led by chef Alexandre Cabral, the experience explores Portugal’s diverse culinary heritage through regional menus available over extended periods, allowing guests to discover each territory in greater depth.

Each featured region remains in focus for one to two months and is represented by three signature dishes, a traditional dessert and a curated selection of wines from the same area.

The journey begins with Trás-os-Montes, from January 22 to February 28, a region known for its rich flavours and strong culinary traditions. The menu includes dishes such as Trás-os-Montes-style roast leg with corn and chestnut rice, oven-baked cod with ham and Port wine, and creamy wild mushroom couscous.

The programme continues with Beiras from March 1 to April 15, followed by Alentejo from April 16 to May 31, and the Lisbon region from June 1 to July 15.

During the summer, from July 16 to August 31, the focus turns to the Algarve. The final stages include Bairrada from September 1 to October 15 and Minho from October 16 to December 15, coinciding with the traditional game season.

Throughout the year, guest chefs and wine producers will join selected events, alongside live traditional music performances, blending cuisine, territory and heritage.

Reservations are recommended and can be made by email at [email protected] or by telephone on +351 282 310 100.
