Perched on a stunning cliff-top above Praia da Falésia, Pine Cliffs, a Luxury Collection Resort in Albufeira offers a delightful fusion of Portuguese-Indian cuisine and a fresh take on Italian dishes at the resort’s newest pop-up restaurants, where guests are invited to savour international flavours.
The Rohini by Little Miss India brand, found at the Movenpick Jumeirah Lakes Tower hotel in Dubai, now has a new home at the Pine Cliffs Resort.
The sister brand of Little Miss India, the Michelin-rated restaurant at the Fairmont The Palm hotel also in Dubai, Rohini is named after the Hindi word for ‘star’, and is a tribute to the hospitality and authenticity of Indian cuisine.
The menu features imaginative interpretations of Indian classics, taking you on a sensory journey through dishes like Goan Fish Curry, Ajawani Mahi Tikka (boneless fish marinated in yogurt and spices), and Dhaba Murgh (a robust chicken curry with a rich onion-tomato sauce).
Vegetarian options include the delectable Hara Bhara Kebab (a pan-fried spinach and green pea patty stuffed with cheese, coriander and spices). To end on a sweet note, the Malai Ka Motichur is a must – delicious little balls of chickpea flour fritters with cream of saffron and mascarpone. These culinary delights can be paired with a selection of beverages, such as the signature Mumbai Moscow Mule.
Meanwhile, Portofino by MIMO brings the essence of Italian gastronomy to Pine Cliffs with a pop-up trattoria located in the charming Praceta dos Limoeiros.
This setting, reminiscent of picturesque Italian streets, features live cooking, a wood-fired oven, cosy lighting, and an engaging musical selection, perfect to enjoy the Algarve’s night-time ambiance.
The menu celebrates traditional Italian flavours, with a special focus on pizzas and pasta dishes (such as the Linguini alle Vongole with clams from the Ria Formosa) as well as risottos, ensuring an authentic and memorable dining experience.
Pine Cliffs Resort is renowned for its diverse dining options, boasting 15 restaurants and bars.
Overlooking the resort’s main gardens, O Pescador serves the catch of the day and seafood from our shores.
O’Grill offers light meals with views of the nine-hole golf course and pool, while Maré at Pine Cliffs by the beach provides stunning shore views and an array of grilled dishes.
The Piri Piri Steakhouse prides itself on serving prime meats from around the world, expertly grilled and paired with Portuguese wines, all enjoyed by the serene pine tree forest.
The pop-up restaurants will be open until the end of October, from 6pm to 11pm.
