The Algarve’s top spas invite you to discover new and innovative treatments focused on revitalisation and well-being
Winter days call for relaxation and tranquillity at the Algarve’s finest spas, where specialised therapists are dedicated not only to making every moment special, but also to ensuring that the feeling of lightness and invigoration lasts long after the treatment is over.
There are options tailored to different needs, more focused on the body or mind, or with specific approaches.
All treatments are personalised according to each client’s preferences and tailored to their goals, through experiences defined by excellence and genuine empathy.
Royal Spa, Vale do Lobo – The Cure Hydraclean
Led by therapist Denise Benjamim, this exclusive signature facial treatment offers the benefits of advanced Hydraclean machine technology paired with Natura Bissé products, available exclusively at Royal Spa.
Although it is especially recommended for blemished, devitalised or tired skin, it is beneficial for all skin types, adapting to individual needs.

Focusing on deep cleansing, intense hydration, exfoliation, detoxification, purification and cell regeneration, it is ideal both for those who maintain regular skincare routines and for those who have postponed them and feel in need of “the cure”.

In addition to unclogging pores and reducing impurities, blackheads and excess oiliness, it also improves skin texture and radiance. And the benefits do not stop there. In addition to visible results, there is also “a calming, balancing and repairing effect, as well as an immediate sensation of lightness and freshness”, says spa supervisor Adriana Alves.

The treatment also extends to overall well-being, including a cranial massage and a remodelling facial massage, which improve oxygenation and cell regeneration and overall skin health.
The treatment is safe and non-invasive and can be enjoyed in sessions of 50 (€125), 65 (€163) or 80 (€170) minutes, depending on the intended use of the Hydraclean machine controls and LED mask.
Serenity Spa – The Art of Well Being, Pine Cliffs – Floral Symphony Therapy
The latest addition to the Serenity Spa programme, Ayurvedic treatments, an integral part of traditional Indian medicine, represent innovation and align perfectly with the spa’s philosophy of balance between mind, body and spirit.

Highly customisable, they are tailored to each person’s constitution and needs – from the type of massage to relaxing aromatherapy, music played and the products used. There are also transversal elements that pay tribute to the region, such as sand, olive oil, oils, citrus or floral elements, as well as locally produced tea.
“We always want to highlight a very close connection with our roots,” emphasises marketing manager Tânia Ramos.

Upon arrival, guests complete a questionnaire to identify their dominant dosha (the three categories believed to be conceptually present in the body and mind) and the areas to be addressed during the 80-minute session (€210).
“The goal is to align the three energies (Vata, Pitta, and Kapha) with the five elements (earth, water, fire, air and ether),” says therapist Tânia Costa.
The Floral Symphony Therapy, which can be experienced in the Sakura room, starts with a purifying foot ritual and is especially designed to calm and relax the body, reduce stress and anxiety, improve circulation, strengthen the immune system, restore harmony and promote resilience.
7 Seven Spa by Hilton Vilamoura – Hammam
Transformation and detoxification are the keywords for this ritual, which can be enjoyed solo, in pairs or as a group.

The hammam is an ancient tradition with roots in Roman and Greek baths, integrated for centuries into Moroccan culture, both in everyday life and on special occasions. It represents “cleansing and purification, whether during moments of joy and celebration or times of sadness, for comfort,” explains Moroccan therapist Lalla Meriem.

Under her care, guests are transported beyond reality, immersed in a deeply comprehensive treatment that promotes both physical and mental relaxation.
Complete surrender is a must, from warming up to exfoliation and cleansing, so that after 75 minutes (€150) in the VIP Turkish bath room, you can feel truly revitalised.

The humid heat of the steam opens the pores, detoxifies the skin, eliminates toxins and dead cells, and promotes cell renewal.
Old or new pains are relieved, and instead of pushing worries away, they are faced head-on, allowing the benefits of the treatment to stay with guests in their everyday lives.
The Spa by Viceroy at Ombria Algarve – Ritual of Love
Restoring balance, deepening awareness and reconnecting with your inner self, with others and with the surrounding nature – that is the Ritual of Love promise.
A profound two-hour (€240), full-body treatment (not including face and head), it was designed to encourage you to feel the present, release your worries and free yourself from stress. This therapy, which is always personalised, can be experienced in three different ways, depending on individual goals and needs, but it is always rooted in self-love and self-care.

“In order to love others, we must first take care of and respect ourselves,” states spa supervisor Maryana Kamyanetska.
In the first option, ‘Acceptance’, aimed at reducing anxiety and promoting a sense of peace and confidence, the massage is performed with chamomile oil. The second, ‘Intention,’ uses rose oil and includes exfoliation, a body wrap, and a massage to detoxify and renew the body. Lavender oil is the choice for ‘Embrace,’ which incorporates breathing work and heated herbal compresses, rejuvenating mind and muscles.

All oils used are locally produced and all three treatments start with foot exfoliation using Olhão salt and end with sound therapy, using a Tibetan bowl and two crystal bowls – an important detail that “helps calm the body, as it responds strongly to vibrations”, explains the spa supervisor.
Vila Vita Spa by Sisley Paris, Vila Vita Parc – Icoone and Indiba
The integrated Icoone and Indiba wellness treatments (€85-250) are designed for anyone aged 16-plus looking to improve their physical appearance and their overall well-being. Both can be applied to the body and face, either separately or combined.
Icoone sessions, lasting between 30 and 60 minutes, use a non-invasive approach with LED light and laser functions to rejuvenate and firm up the skin. Meanwhile, the Indiba sessions, ranging from 30 to 90 minutes, use radiofrequency to improve circulation and reduce pain.

The former creates a suction sensation, whilst the latter generates warmth, leaving the skin firmer and more defined, and enhancing its natural radiance.
Both Icoone and Indiba offer several fully adaptable protocols, defined alongside the therapist, to meet different objectives, such as detoxifying, redefining expression lines, relaxing, reducing acne or dark circles, softening scars or combating ageing.

Results become visible after three to five sessions, which can be carried out within a week. However, “focus, determination, consistency and specific nutrition” are essential, stresses spa manager Judith Gerls. In addition to their aesthetic benefits, they are also recommended for therapeutic purposes, such as post-surgery recovery, as it can reach deeper layers of the skin that manual techniques cannot.
“They also help prevent premature ageing, which is increasingly common,” adds therapist Andrea Alonso, as she explains that “cells and tissues are stimulated to work independently and regenerate, both during and after treatment.”
Wellness Hub, Kimpton Atlântico Algarve – Wellness 360
Three different treatments in a single session provide a comprehensive approach and a deep balance between body and mind.
This is what sets Wellness 360 apart, the signature treatment of the Wellness Hub Atlântico brand, performed using products from Australian brand Subtle Energies.

The 90-minute experience (€165) begins with the laying of hot stones all over the body, allowing the therapeutic heat to promote intense muscle and mental relaxation.
This is followed by a series of massage techniques with varying pressure, applied according to the guest’s goal – it is to relieve accumulated tension or treat chronic muscle stiffness. The final phase is also tailored to individual needs and may include the use of cold bands for a natural anti-inflammatory effect.
“The contrast between hot and cold, combined with therapeutic techniques, results in a complete, revitalising and deeply relaxing treatment, capable of providing immediate relief, muscle recovery and a lasting feeling of lightness and tranquillity,” says spa manager José Mota.
The treatment ends with a facial and scalp massage, in which “pressure applied to strategic points releases energy and relieves stress, providing total relaxation from head to toe”, explains therapist Alison Prata. This therapy not only promotes relaxation but also aids in the recovery of mobility and physical comfort.
Conrad Algarve Spa – Blue Diamond Signature Journey
This revitalising and anti-ageing signature treatment consists of one hour dedicated to the body and another to the face (€350).
The first hour is divided between body exfoliation, using a sugar scrub enriched with colloidal gold, and deep moisturising after bathing, using a velvety body cream. Guests can then choose to remain wrapped in the cream or opt for a full-body massage.

The second hour is devoted to the Blue Diamond Skin Therapy Session, a facial treatment using more than 10 products from Hungarian brand Omorovicza, developed in Budapest.
“We start with cleansing, followed by treatment, then apply the serum and finish with moisturising,” explains therapist Madalena Fragoso.
Suitable for mature, tired or dull skin in need of radiance and rejuvenation, it promises more noticeable results from the age of 40 onwards. In addition to improving firmness and radiance, the treatment also focuses on increasing elasticity and cell regeneration, giving the skin a healthier appearance.
