Try different gourmet street foods at Arrebita Portimão with €7 dishes by Michelin-starred chefs

Summer events are not over yet, as September brings the return of the Arrebita Portimão Festival on September 7-8 (Saturday and Sunday), inviting everyone to try dozens of Portuguese dishes prepared by several renowned and emerging Portuguese chefs, who will be cooking delicious meals for just €7 each.

The event’s 5th edition line-up will include chefs from different Portuguese restaurants, local and national, as well as Michelin-starred chefs Vincent Farges from Epur (Lisbon), Natalhie Inês from SÁLA (Lisbon) and José Lopes from Carvoeiro’s Bon Bon.

DJs, the Party Brass Band, and local artists will provide entertainment and live music at the event, and there will also be a Producers’ Market featuring the best traditional products of the Algarve, such as handicrafts, olive oil, firewater, liqueurs, wines, and regional sweets.

On Saturday, Rui Sequeira (Alameda, Faro), Lydia Brás (Stramuntana, Vila Nova de Gaia), Hugo Nascimento (Naperon, Odeceixe) and Pedro Teles (Rural 150, Valada do Ribatejo) will lead the showcooking events, followed by Verónica Catarino (Mar&Nada, Lisbon), Márcio Silva (Copo Alto, Lisbon), Flávio Gonçalves (Javali, Bragança), and Filipe Bilro (Larau, Estremoz) on Sunday.

Taking place at the Alameda square (or Praça da República), between 6pm and 11pm, the dishes will be served ’street food style’, making them easy to eat ‘on the go’.

Entrance to the event is free, and dishes have a set price of €7.
