With 78 luxury homes, five-star resort amenities and views to an iconic course redesigned by golf legend Ernie Els, the project strives to bring lifestyle and community together in one exclusive setting
Construction has begun on the latest luxury development in Vilamoura, the Springs – At the Els Club, developed by Norfin SGOIC, set to be completed by the last quarter of 2027.
A total of 78 luxury villas and townhouses are planned for the project, all with views of the former Victoria Course, redesigned by golf legend Ernie Els, and designed to cater to those seeking a residence with high-end hotel amenities and residential privacy.
The development offers two unique architectural typologies: Cluster Units and Row Units. The Cluster Units provide expansive floor plans, comprising 17 three-bedroom villas measuring 158 square meters, five three-bedroom duplexes of 165sqm, and seven four-bedroom villas offering a generous 221sqm. Meanwhile, the Row Units feature a vertical layout, comprising 39 two-bedroom duplexes of 137sqm each and 10 three-bedroom duplexes measuring 162sqm.
The units have all been designed to provide a “five-star resort experience“, with private terraces, private pools, landscaped gardens, as well as private parking, and concierge services.
In addition to the residences, the project will feature a country club with a restaurant, a gym, an indoor pool, a spa, tennis courts, and a lazy river, all designed for family enjoyment.
“Springs – At the Els Club is much more than a real estate development; it is a true statement of quality and exclusivity that reinforces Vilamoura as a destination of excellence in southern Europe,” says Henrique Rodrigues da Silva, COO of the Norfin Group, pointing out the project’s emphasis on “high construction standards, design, technology, sustainability, and meticulous material selection”.
The project is an expansion of the group’s philosophy and is a “continuous bet on the destination of Vilamoura”, with the project’s location being a key selling point, as it is fully integrated with The Els Club Vilamoura, the first Els Club in Europe and the Algarve’s first private golf club.
As the developers pointed out, this integration provides residents with an “unparalleled experience”, including access to a signature 18-hole course, an international-level clubhouse, and an exclusive community.
Nuno Sepúlveda, co-CEO of DETAILS (the platform responsible for the management of The Els Club Vilamoura), added that “the proximity between this development and The Els Club Vilamoura is just one of the things that unites them. The other is the exclusivity that both offer: with the launch of Springs – At the Els Club, an exclusive club will be created for the owners, providing a set of unique benefits in Vilamoura, with experiences and events dedicated exclusively to these clients. It is a rare project – and by ‘rare’ I mean unique – in Portugal, which combines lifestyle, sport and a sense of community”.
The project is expected to help further increase Vilamoura’s notoriety, particularly among golfers, explains Ana Damásio, regional sales manager for Vilamoura World projects. “Spring – At The Els Clubs will bring something new to the region. We are sure many families seeking a home in the Algarve will find one here.”
