The Algarve International Racetrack’s calendar and a new golf club by Ernie Els set to open in the Algarve

Over 20 events confirmed for Algarve racetrack

The Algarve International Racetrack (AIA) will host a record number of races in 2025 across its main track and the Kartódromo Internacional do Algarve, its go-kart circuit, with a packed calendar which will feature at least one competition per month and is yet to be closed.

The highlight-filled schedule kicks off in March with the World Superbike Championship on March 28-30 and culminates with the return of the MotoGP World Championship on November 7-9.

Other highlights include the GT Open between April 24-27, the European Le Mans Series (October 16-18) and the Algarve Classic Festival (October 23-26).

Algarve to welcome first Ernie Els golf club in Europe

Four-time Major winner and former world number one Ernie Els is collaborating with Arrow Global to create Els Club Vilamoura, the first Els Club in Europe and the first private golf club in the Algarve.

The club will open to a select group of founding members in the summer of 2025, setting a new standard for exclusive and privileged access.

Els and his award-winning design team have already made significant progress, having started work on the former site of Vilamoura’s Victoria Course, which hosted the Portugal Masters.
