The contemporary abstract artist’s work is on show at the C1 Broker Art Gallery
The C1 Broker Art Gallery in Almancil is showcasing the latest works by Ukrainian artist Viktoria Ganhao until July 10.
Viktoria’s work offers viewers a “cascade of visual possibilities”, which transform the canvas into a “subjective perceptual mirror”, inviting you to develop your own interpretations of her artworks.
Born in 1971 in Kyiv, she was raised in an artistic family, and her creativity was encouraged from an early age. Viktoria worked in the fashion industry for 17 years, pursued an entrepreneurial career, lived in seven countries, and travelled worldwide. In 2016, she decided to focus on becoming a full-time artist.

As an avid traveller, Viktoria uses her new experiences “as the most significant inspiration for [her] paintings”.
Her series of abstract artworks is a “collection of memories, feelings, and emotions gathered during [her] travels”. Viktoria’s artworks are a way “to pay homage to unique places [she] has been to, transforming them into a journey of storytelling and memoir”.
“Each painting has a story to be discovered”, she shares.
Viktoria’s work has been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions around the world, and she is active in presenting her art in a variety of venues.
The exhibition is open until July 10, Monday through Friday, from 9am to 5pm, or by appointment.
