AS Young Tour played in Carvoeiro

The AS Young Tour by IBP Tenis made its debut in Portugal in Carvoeiro earlier this year, bringing together more than 100 young players from under-10 to under-18.

Organised by former professionals Frederico Gil and Rita Freitas, the circuit expands from Spain into the Portuguese market.

The competition integrates the Universal Tennis Rating system and features advanced line-calling technology.

Upcoming stages will take place in Lagoa from June 22 to 28, as well as Lisbon (September 7–13) and Estoril (September 24–29), where the final Masters will be held.

Bike Adventure Camp at Quinta do Lago

The Campus, in Quinta do Lago, is hosting a new edition of its Bike Adventure Camp this summer, with three-day programmes designed for young riders aged four to 14.

Taking place between July 1-3, July 22-24, and August 19-21, the sessions focus on building confidence, coordination, and cycling skills through games, challenges, and group activities.

Younger children will develop balance and braking techniques, whilst older participants can explore cornering, gears, and group riding across varied terrain.

Prices start from €120, with groups organised according to age and skill.

Portugal Invitational debuts in the Algarve

The Algarve is hosting the inaugural Portugal Invitational this summer, marking the country’s first PGA TOUR Champions individual stroke-play event.

Taking place at The Els Club Vilamoura from July 27 to August 2, the tournament will bring together 78 players, including Majors winners Bernhard Langer, Pádraig Harrington, and José María Olazábal.

With a $3 million (around €2.5M) prize purse, the event represents a significant milestone for Portugal’s presence on the global golfing stage.

Tickets are now on sale, with general admission from €20, whilst international broadcast coverage will reach over 170 countries.

Ferrari Challenge returns to Portimão

The Algarve International Racetrack (AIA), in Portimão, will host the Ferrari Challenge from July 17 to 19, one of the most prestigious competitions in the world of motorsports.

Held over three days, the Algarve circuit will set the stage for high-intensity races featuring Ferrari’s competition models, driven by experienced racers and passionate enthusiasts of the marque.

More than a sporting event, the occasion celebrates Italian design, engineering and exclusivity.

Set against a backdrop of excellence, speed and sophistication come together, creating a memorable experience for spectators.
